What's my BMW chassis code?
*F chassis M135 and M235 models will need to check your alignment dowel before ordering. If your alignment dowel is not straight up and down you can only get straight cut, no logo.
The alignment dowel on some early build M135 and M235 have an alignment dowel that is rotated inward 45º, unlike the straight up and down alignment dowel of the 335 and 435. If you get the logo tip, the logo or angle cut it will be turned 45º to the inside. Not for use with M-Performance exhaust systems. Does not fit any E chassis vehicles or other F chassis vehicles other than those listed above.
To install you must first remove your factory tip by pounding outward on the lower part with either a rubber mallet or a hammer. This is done from under the rear of the car. Small medium taps will start the factory tip sliding off the actual exhaust pipe. Secure the tip before it comes off the end of the pipe with your hand. The logo and cutout must be facing straight up during this next procedure. Next take the BMS slip-on exhaust tip and slip it straight over the factory exhaust pipe. Carefully push the tip straight on until it stops. That's it.
