I am not surprised. One has to you use common sense when using a pressure washer. That's some seriously high pressure at close proximity. Back in the day on the Navy ships, we used to use pressure washers for stripping paint and rust off the metal deck. You may have gotten away from getting it that close to metal areas but paint never adheres as well to plastic and given the high pressure, I am not surprised it came off.
