Thanks for replying so quickly. I do have a nagging feeling that the 18i engine is just too underpowered for the X1. Now if it were the Audi 1.4 I would have no worries but just don’t want to end up with a less responsive Car than I already have. Diesel doesn’t suit my type of journeys otherwise might myself have gone down that route.
Think I’ll have to wait for the dealer getting a 18i in to test or bite the bullet and go for a 20iauto. Having seen a number of low mileage reg cars under £30k it is tempting.
