New Suspension Products from SPL Parts, Inc. - Toe links, race control arms, etc.

Here are some new additions from SPL Parts for F8x M cars.

SPL Bumpsteer Adjustable Tie Rod Ends E9X/E8X/F8X BMW

SPL front tie rod ends allow the tie rod end pivot to be relocated, which will correct bump steer resulting from modified caster or lower arm geometry, thus reducing lap times. On cars that are lowered significantly, relocating the pivot point will also keep the tie rod end from binding, thereby preventing the inner tie rods from breaking or bending when racing.

Our SPL FKS front caster rod bushings replace the stock flexible rubber bushings with low friction articulating spherical bearings elminating bushing deflection and reducing friction. This maintains optimum suspension geometry under load to improve braking and handling feedback. Massive 1" sized FK racing bearings with self lubricating Teflon liners are used to ensure maximum performance and durability. Innovative CNC'd offset bearing spacers provide +/- 4 degrees of caster adjustment.

SPL TITANIUM Rear Toe Links BMW F8X M3 M4

SPL rear toe arms increase stability and response by eliminating bushing deflection while providing an increased range of rear toe adjustment, necessary for lowered cars or for performance alignments. Even small changes to ride height and camber will effect toe settings and the wide range of adjustment allows you to maximize grip on a track car and extend tire life on a street car. The factory rear toe arms utilize an eccentric bolt and washer for adjustment and lack the precision and range that SPL Parts rear toe links offer. Black anodized and gundrilled 2024 Aluminum main links along with our 360 degree rotating clamp design allow for quick and precise adjustment.

SPL TITANIUM Rear Upper Arms BMW F8X M3 M4

SPL adjustable links are an absolute necessity to maintain proper rear camber and reduce tire wear on the street and track. The stock BMW setup has an aggressive camber curve through bump travel, which is very apparent on lowered cars. Excess negative camber causes premature tire wear on the inside edge, and reduced traction on acceleration while too little camber will limit rear grip while cornering. SPL links provide a wide adjustment range for precise rear camber alignment that is easily optimized for street or track driving while eliminating bushing deflection with smooth articulating Teflon lined rod ends in place of the soft factory rubber bushings. Our kit replaces the factory links commonly referred to as the rear wishbone and rear guide links.

Our links feature black anodized and gundrilled 2024 aluminum links, 6061 aluminum clamps, titanium socket head cap screws, tapered stainless steel knuckle mount spacers and FK rod ends. This combination provides superior performance, durability, and ease of adjustment. Long gone are the days of fumbling with wrenches to tighten jam nuts while trying to trying to keep your bearings orientated correctly.

SPL Front Lower Control Arms F8X - Race Version

SPL front lower control arms provide roll center, camber and track width adjustment for the F8X M3 and M4 BMWs and allow for full articulation with the correct ball joint angle. No more jam nuts!! Long gone are the days of fumbling with multiple wrenches to tighten jam nuts in place while trying to keep your bearings orientated correctly. The main arm is slotted to allow the use of pinch bolts and our rotating clamps on our exclusive hybrid adjuster lock down camber and track width settings. Our hybrid double adjuster is machined from 4130 chromoly and is electroless nickel plated for corrosion resistance. Blue anodized titanium hardware shaves even more unsprung weight from the arms without compromising strength. Stainless steel spacers are provided to correct roll center for lowered vehicles. The use of FK rod ends and high misalignment spherical bearings eliminates the flex and binding found in the OEM control arms while allowing smooth articulation. The race version DOES NOT include the headlight adjusting rod.
