I fitted a 255/40r19 tire on a 19x8.5" et42 wheel, and it worked like a charm. It gave a flush look I wanted without any rubbing or problem, considering that I have Eibach lowering springs. Keep in mind that I use summer tires since we don´t have snow around here.

It's hard to say a recommendation since I don´t know the offset of your wheels, but you could definitely go for a 245/40r19 tire with that wheels if you want them wider. See attached picture for a comparison taken from https://tiresize.com/calculator/. Several guys here use that setup.
