Clunking noise short acceleration/braking

Initially had a clunking noise when going over speed bumps, pot holes and hard cornering. Had the car lifted, upgraded the bushings, camber arms and a wheel alignment done. Problem went away - yay! A week later, same sound comes back although under different circumstances. Short acceleration and stopping, and also during parking manoeuvers using full lock on the wheel. Took it back today l, changed the transmission mount and some more bushings and greased the front CV axel and changed the boots. Unfortunately, still have the issue under acceleration and stopping. Mechanic suggested it does have some steering rack play, but doesn't suggest changing it as it's expensive and he is not sure this is the issue.

Been searching through the forums, and see that the engine mount comes up quite a bit. The mechanic did inspect those and says they are still in good condition though. Does anyone think it's worth replacing? Any other suggestions? Would be greatly appreciated.

Car is a 2016 BMW X1 2.0L sDrive.

Thanks in advance!
