We were really upset last year when they weren't there. We were ready to place an order for the not yet released X7 and wanted to see it in person before hand.

We went to the dealer (who of course didn't have any in stock prior to April) and they said that it costs BMW about a million dollars per show for the fees, staff, shipping, setup, tear down, and then all the interactive stuff. They apparently are cutting chicago out as they don't see the value.

On another note, and not to get too political, but where the show is hosted McCormick Place, the costs are astronomical. Many shows are pulling out of that venue.
