I'm new to the forum and new to BMW ownership. I recently acquired a second-hand BMW X2 sDrive20i from 2018, and I'm thoroughly enjoying the experience so far. The car came equipped with a larger 10.xx inch display and Apple CarPlay functionality, which worked flawlessly. However, a recent visit to the dealer to address a transmission oil warning resulted in the loss of Apple CarPlay functionality.
It seems that the previous owner had purchased Apple CarPlay via Connected Drive online. Unfortunately, this option no longer appears in the Connected Drive store, leaving only expensive optional extras that aren't relevant to my needs.
I'm wondering if there's a way to restore the Apple CarPlay functionality or somehow reinstate the previous owner's purchase. Any advice or guidance on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.
