as 1st time homeowner and its been 2 months!!
there is plenty of DIY on youtube.
as far as countertop, mine is granite and i havent applied any sealant.
the countertop get wipe down all the time. if something is served or spilled it gets wipe down with
microfiber towel. Also never spray on the countertop, spray on papertowel or microfiber towel.
we have silicone pads, and ceramic pads for hot pots and pans.
its our method of keeping countertops clean and stain free.
electric stove, we do have sealant that gets applied every time something is fried, grease/oil stains.
It leave the stove top looking spanking new, but there is alot of wax on and wax off lol
