I know I was astounded it wasn't present when I test drove the X1, I have it on my F10 and on my previous E70 too. I appreciate it's a Mini platform but surely it can't be difficult for BMW to add it as it's just a button and some programming.

However it wasn't a deal breaker as for us the X1 was a much better vehicle than the alternatives we were looking at... I've got used to using the electronic brake when I drive the car, it's not ideal but workable
