Thanks all. That comes as a bit of a blow. I wish they made all this stuff standard instead of presenting so many variations.
I really wanted integrated functionality with my iPhone and idrive but it looks like I failed to tick the right boxes.
Incidentally, if I connect my iPhone / iPod using the Y cable can I at least see playlists & track info via idrive?
