There was a similar article that a Mk1 VW GTi (first production year) that was found in some lady's garage that only had less than 100 miles on it.
The story went that the owner bought the car new from VW, drove it straight to the car stereo shop to have a Blaupunkt taple player installed. Drove the car home, parked it in the garage and then died of a heart attack or something a few days later.
It had been sitting in the garage ever since.
I think it sold for $12,500 or so on bringatrailer.com or some site similar.
Crazy that things like this can still happen.
