The flywheel will have to be replaced, in addition to the clutch, because it is a dual mass flywheel (DMF, which is more cost effective to build, I understand). I had a similar issue with the DMF on an Audi giving up the ghost early on and that was covered under warranty, with the clutch and release bearing also being changed. I wonder if the DMF might be at the root of the problem and here's a link to a Wikipedia page that gives a reasonably straightforward explanation of that component:
