So today my wife drove over something that has punched a hole through the rear tyre; it's unrepairable...
They are at least fairly worn after 2 years, 15k miles, 4mm left at the front and 5-6mm at the back, so now might be a good time to look at replacing them.
They are Bridgestone Turanza T001 non-RFT at the moment. Looking at local tyre places online there isn't a huge amount of choice in the 225/50/18 size... I'm thinking about switching to Pirelli P-Zeros as they claim to be lower noise, which would be very welcome. Has anyone got any experience of these tyres in terms of noise, wear rates etc? There's a Continental one available, the Pirelli P7 and of course the Bridgestones. I'd appreciate any input, particularly UK-focused, on the limited options. Thanks in advance!
