Thank you - most kind, but it seems to be okay now
The car has been fine all day - spent an hour in London traffic with no probs at all.
Would you believe, while I was driving to a Meeting in the afternoon the salesperson from the Dealer called me as a courtesy to see how I was getting on after 12 months ownership. I told him about the event and he said it is most likely a sensor-related issue whereby a code wasn't interpreted properly the first time around causing the warning - and that it was unlikely to be a persistent problem.
