Depends on the details of your insurance policy.

Is there an agreed insured value for the car, or is the insurance coverage for the market value? Does the policy give you choice of repairer and require the use of new, OEM parts?

Insurance companies make their decision based on the estimated cost of repair, which must be less than the insurance value of the car (agreed, or market), and the salvage value of the wreck.

You know the insured value from your policy; it's not hard to get a ball park for the salvage value, so you just need to work with the insurance company assessor on the repair cost estimate by underscoring where/who you want to do the repair, and that the repair must use new OEM parts. It's these last two — that you have choice of repairer and the new OEM part requirement — that push up repair costs significantly and likely push them to writing it off and paying you out.
