I would certainly expect X1/X2 (and 1 and 2 series) in Europe wanting android to have to have to pay For CarPlay enabling (now android as well) as a build option. US will likely get it as std. The key phrase being ‘available” rather than Included.

You will see that all Audio and Communication options including Carplay preparation (6CP) in the UK spec cars are no cost and standard equipment from April 2020 onwards
