in reality the cars haven't really grown,; they've simply migrated through model designations. very soon you'll have a line-up of 5,3 and 1 series that are comparable in size to the 7,5 and 3 series of some years back; so the line-up is comparable. but you'll say: "there's still a 7 series". well since nobody buys it anymore because the 5 is so big it might as well not exist. btw, this model migration represents great value for the consumer since it has not been accompanied by resetting the prices. in other words you can have your e36/46 by buying an f20, etc.
