The number of people who don't understand the hardware component and just say "of course you can just add it" never ceases to amaze me since I initially had an X2 that had no way at the time to do CarPlay even though the dealer said "sure we just add it here...." and then proceeded to not be able to.
I don't know if Shawn's magic connection would have been able to do that in that vehicle since I swapped it for a car with the set of options I wanted.
