DR is trying to to do the same thing that HAM made with Merc' in Renault.. and actually things might change after regs change in less than 2 years.. he may find himself in a leading team again.. Renault desperately wants to be strong again and they have a nice motorsports heritage even if im not a Renault fan at all..
