From what I've heard, no. But let me check with a few other folks and I'll post a reply in a few days with their discoveries.
Also, unless you need to have two phones connected and able to operate at the same time (I have personal and work phones), don't bother with the package, since that's the only thing it really adds. The album art, etc., should all work regardless.
PS: I believe it also enables Siri Eyes Free, but don't quote me on that as no one I know has tried it yet.
