My S4 petrol avant (2017) has great steering ! The gearbox is not clunky at all, put it into sport and it’s crisp, sharp... I’m averaging 34 mpg across all conditions of short / long journeys .. and compared to my old 3 (F31) series and X3 (F25) the cabin is a class above. Oh, and the seats are immense (with the massage functions), the difficulty being there is so much adjustment , takes ages to find the sweet spot, but after a solid 5hr drive from Scotland south, you step out feeling just fine .
Don’t get me wrong, my 3 series was immense, but the S4 is up a notch.
