It's different to the thread. I heard the "pop" before maxing out the turn.

There is no leaking and can't recreate the noise.

I'm sorry for the assumptions, i am no mechanic...
Could the weird noise come from
1. bad ball bearing?
2. broken power steering?
3. dislocated control arm?
4. other?
