Yes, Aisin has been around for a good while, with units including its longitudinal 8AT in a number of high performance cars. Lexus/Toyota is renown for its supply chain rigor, so I'm not worried. The physical shifter (vs ZF electronic) is something you'll notice only if you have another car with electronic shifter.
