I fully agree - Aisin is not on par with ZF.
My reading is that 1.8i and/or 1.8d has the new 7-speed dual clutch!? Obviously that DCT is a low torque gearbox. Generally DCT:s have a problem with low speed driving - otherwise OK- apart from some early VW boxes.
