Using your example of being stuck for 8 whole miles in GA: Let's say you would be going 80mph for those 8 miles and instead you are stuck behind these two trucks who are going 55mph. If you were going 80mph, you'd cover that 8 miles in 6 minutes. While stuck behind the trucks, you cover the same distance in 8 minutes 43 seconds. That's less than 3 minutes out of your entire journey.
Frustrating? Absolutely. I'm just saying that personally, I have learned to roll with it instead of getting pi$$ed off. These trucks have a job to do and I choose to give them a break.

Now multiply that over a 4 hour drive with those things happening every 10 minutes.
