Uhm lets stick to facts not random guesses. Costco goes through great pains to offer "Top Tier" gas utilizing top tier detergents.
Where I live when they had trouble sourcing they ripped up the parking lot and added a detergent dispensing system to ensure the proper dosing and detergents that meet their stringent requirements was added.
