Unless you can tell me I can use an old esys with old bootloader and the folder won't be encrypted, then only option is to buy a BimmerUtility license. (I also plan to install oem reverse cam, so will need esys to program I assume)

My two cents: it's much easier using the BimmerCode App (
https://bimmercode.app/), plus you can easily code other features without messing around with eSYS.
The full version costs ~45 bucks, and you will need a Bluetooth OBD adapter or an ENET cable + RJ45 phone adapter. I use the last one, which is faster and safer.
