I'm not aware the X2 is/was available with the adaptive suspension, I thought it only had dynamic dampers as an option. I have those in my 2020, and they're great - on, they firm the car nicely but off, they soften it for cruising. The stock suspension is right in the middle, never quite the right feeling IMO.
Don't forget the m35i has front and rear LSD. It's quite unique to a small SAV and man does it make a difference. You can take off at full throttle and full cramp, in sport it's a right-turn shoot-the-gap sniper. Or punch it in a sweeper turn (on-ramp) and wow.
