Superior Products Detailing Products?

Anyone use them and like them? Really looking into getting a couple different products from them but they don't really like specify certain uses

I really like Adams Polishes products. That's been my go to. A little pricey but they work well. I know others use Chemical Guys.

No go on CG. It's just a marketing company. Same with Superior most likely. The name worked on you wanting to get something from them.

Stick to tried and true brands. No need to start using a brand that popped up yesterday unless you really want to support a random guy selling this stuff out of his garage.

+1 for Griots. Their synthetic claybar is great. Probably not as good as actual claybar but its soooo much easier.

I actually think Superior has been around a long time (mid 2000s anyway) and is a volume / shop oriented brand. I have no idea if any of their stuff is good.

What product do you want? It's better to choose a product rather than a brand, because very few brands have exceptional products across their lineup. The most consistent is probably CarPro though, almost all their products are good to great.

Never heard of Superior, I’ve been a Chemical Guys user for a while and like their products.

+1 on CGs. I always recommend to stay away from that foolishness if you are after proper detailing products. CarPro, GTechniq, Gyeon, and P&S are my go tos. There are a few others I've had excellent results with namely TUGA, Wolf's, 303.

A X5 forum member who used to post quite often loved Superior products. Based on his opinion, their products worked great and very economical. I think they mostly came in gallon jugs, often at the the same price of 16/20 oz sizing offered from other companies. Bulk products mostly like a previous post mentioned.
Give a product or two a shot, shouldn't break the bank. Good luck

Am I out of touch for still liking Zaino Soap, ZFX polymer treatment and their leather cleaner and conditioner? I've tried Sonax and a bunch of others, but I find ZFX gives better protection, lasts longer, shines deeper and is about as foolproof to use as possible.

The soap and leather stuff is probably still ok. The sealants, yeah, they don't compete anymore.

CarPro and Gyeon are industry leaders. You can't go wrong with any of these 2 brands. I have used them for more than a decade now.

Not trying to dismiss this, but CG have been around for ~50 years, hardly a brand that ‘popped up yesterday’. Do I use their products on our vehicles? VERY few. Are they taking advantage of social media & diehards from twenty+ years ago? Yes. But to discount all their product line so quickly, I’d disagree.

All good. I was referring to other brands that pop up every day not cg which has been around for a good amount of time. I always credit them for their marketing because after all these years people still “recommend” their products so clearly the advertising dollars are working. They are always first on Amazon listings. I still discount all their products because they are just marketing not making anything innovative in the detailing. Give me one of their products and I’ll give you a better option if not multiple.

For reference they have videos of their Butter Wet Wax buffing our scratches on a bumper. That’s just a straight lie of the product and what it can do. BWW is a liquid wax/filler that won’t even last a month. If you want to give your money to a company like that by all means go for it, but I won’t stop preaching how much they suck.

100% yes. 👍 Indeed, unfortunately the majority of their products have better competitor options, (not that most would know by their share of media). They do indeed have a couple decent offerings, but I suspect they’re getting by these days more on past reputation, versus current innovation. (Granted the devil’s advocate side of me still says compared to those who drive through an auto wash, they’re 1000% better, but those folks aren’t likely looking at any other options, names be damned. Hell those folks would be suited to an old school ‘turtle wax’ over that, haha).

They have like 9999 overlapping products, don’t make any of them, and over half of them are extremely mediocre at best. Why buy CG when you can buy TW, Adam’s, Griots, Meguiars, etc. locally and at comparable prices with much more consistent quality. The only CG product I like is their medium clay because price and Amazon stock. I only use it on glass and wheel barrels though.

Not sure what's so funny. Most of their products suck and the company is a gimmick. If you want to use their stuff, use it, it's your car.
