Harman Kardon Option in M35i ?

I am considering trading my 2019 X3 on a brand-new X2 M35i. In various video and print reviews on the M35i, I keep running into references to an optional Harman Kardon upgrade to the base stereo system, but I've built this X2 on BMW's site several times now and don't see where I can add it. Does anyone know if this is a thing?

I think there was a thread of someone saying that there was a shortage of chips so that wasn't even available?

It was available but it has been removed due to the chip and parts shortage. I actually haven't seen any other option changes and you can now get a heated steering wheel and ACC which on my 2019 was mutually exclusive, northern climate, heated steering wheel

I ordered months ago an F39 with Harman Kardon, was later advised it will be delivered without, only a basic radio - I am now looking for advice how to equip it with a good aftermarket sound system.

Really like the Audiotech Fischer drop in stuff. The amplifier with integrated DSP especially.

Do you know if you can adjust the DSP with a Mac, or do you need a Windows computer like the Bavsound stuff? (EDIT: Damn, looks like it's PC only too. Grr...)

Also a big fan of the Focal drop in speakers for the X2, they sound great and are easy to install.

I just picked up a 2021 x2 m35 and has the HK HIfi system in it

It’s pretty awesome

Mine was fully optioned off the floor but pretty sure it comes standard
