iOS Connected Drive Update

downloaded an update to my iPhone BMW Connected (North America) and they added an "unlock" to the screen now. Previously it just had "lock", in addition to lights, horn, climate activation etc.

UK app has had that for as long as I remember. What they desperately need is a "Current status" tab, showing whether doors are locked or not.

Yup. It needs the current status more than all the other options combined.

that would be great. Does anyone know how long the ventilation features runs once activated? I activated mine and got delayed in the office. It was running when I got to the car ~30 min.

If I remember correctly, it is set to run as long as 30 minutes and there is a gap in between the timer 1 and timer 2 that they can be ran. They do that to prevent discharge of the battery.

Am I right in thinking that these functions all require the "Remote Services" option code? I only have the Basic Nav, and when I played with the "BMW Connected" iPhone app yesterday for the first time I didn't see the remote locking, headlight flash etc. I can send new Destinations to the car from the app though...

I just wish it had the facility to 'beep the horn' as well as 'flash the headlights'. It would be more useful in a large open car park to be able to pin point the direction of your car. UK spec car. May be different in different markets maybe?

Yup, you need to have "Remote Services". You can buy these through the Connected Drive portal for £50, but you also have to have bought "ConnectedDrive Services" for £240.

I feared as much. Checking the ConnectedDrive portal gives me the option to buy/book Remote Services for £60, but it doesn't say if that's one month, one year or three years. Either way I don't think I need to remotely flash my headlights that much

The "ConnectedDrive Services" are included even with the Basic Nav as that shows up in my list of subscriptions in the portal, along with TeleServices, BMW Online, Intelligent Emergency Call etc.
