Fault codes 24CF00, 26CF00

Hi guys,

can someone point me in the right direction as to how to fix the two codes?
I cleared them with ISTA and the engine light disappeared only to for it to come on again this morning.
I tried a little trick suggested by someone on another forum to open/close the fuel cap for 5 second and then restart and to my suprise it work. The engine light went.
This is not the solution though

Someone else suggested to clear the codes which I did but again, this turned out to be a temp solution.
Last solution which worked for someone was to change the ait filter but did not try it.

Can someone with similar codes point me in the right direction?
Thank you

Unfortunately, if a diesel, this is a possibility.

I have found that post prior to me posting.
I think I will stop driving my car immediately and replace the fuel pressure sensor which is most likely the culprit leaking diesel.

As for the other fault I have not done the research yet.

So, I have an update. I checked the fuel pressure sensor and the maf sensor, both have diesel on unfortunately.
I gues the wiring will need to be replaced too. Did not get to DDE to see if that is doomed too.

So it is bad news. Good news is I spoke a mobile diesel specialist who said that my ECU is most likely not flooded as my car still drives normally.
Glad that I parked my car after diagnostics with ISTA.

Sorry to read the bad news but it is lucky that the ecu survived, it looks like you acted just in time. This design flaw really can create havoc.

I thought I should give my final verdict here. The repair set me back almost £1k

Towing £140
Fuel pressure kit £320
Work £150
New Maf £320

all parts genuine BMW and new

There was a small drop of diesel on the ECU connector wall so really stopped the car in the last second!
Have done nearly 500mls since and all is good.
No faults coming up on ista or the cluster.

Advice here is, get your car on the scanner asap if you get drivetrain error message
