Oh please no! I'm going to loose it now!!

I don't use it much on my F10, however I wonder if this system is better for MY16?
She doesn't understand Australian on my F20! Whereas that Siri lass knows exactly what I mean.

Well don't I look silly now
You know how spell check can make us look like fools sometimes and change the meaning of what we are trying to say into something completely absurd or inappropriate?
Well I just thought....Black Country sounded racially insensitive without the background and explanation of the **** for someone in North America who has never heard the name before.
In any case, thanks for clearing that up,

Cheers

It's also a reminder to all of us NOT to assume another poster is from our geographical market, or even cultural background (hint: generally, you can check by looking at the poster's profile)

Hey it's no big deal, I get what your saying

I should have probably explained it in the first place considering this is an international forum...

True enough. Not sure the named location would have helped though. Wolverhampton?
I would get UK or Oz

Union Flag in the sidebar's the give away that it's the UK Wolverhampton (Same as we know you're not in Montreal in France!)

I live in Washington

So we ordered the car this morning. I test drove the X1 20d and then took out a 220i to get a feel for the petrol engine. Both are great but concerns I had over the petrol engine suiting the X1 vanished as its smooth, quiet and has a great linear power delivery.

The dealer had two X1's awaiting delivery in the car park on the roof of the building, the salesman kindly took us up to show us them both when I mentioned moving from mineral white to alpine white. The mineral just seemed to pop a little more so we stuck with it, although both looked great!

I managed to get 7% off list, a free service pack and free autoglym life shine body protection. So factoring in these two items it came to 8.9% off list price. I thought this was a decent deal considering it's a new model, however I didn't have much to benchmark against...

Now the terrible wait until June!!

Congrats @The Beast on your new order . I did exactly the same over the colour and also opted for the Mineral White (but it was very close). It will be interesting to keep comparing notes occasionally on delivery date as I ordered mine on 15th Jan. Dealer said they should be in touch next week with an update - we will see.

Congrats also! X1 must be proving popular that the delivery is going out so long.

Would be interesting to see a Mineral White next to and Alpine White.

Yes that would be good, salesman said that he would have a better indication of when in June the car will be expected next week once the order has been processed. Will keep you posted and appreciate any updates that you get.

I share the pain a little. I have an M4 on order and that is not coming until May so I try to forget about it a bit

It's specifically the petrol engine, diesel is 8-12 weeks.

My theory is that BMW based demand on previous buying trends and that more people are now considering petrol turbo engines...

Subtle differences between the two colours but even on a wet day like today the mineral had a shimmer to it like silver does. The metallic in the paint should really pop on a bright day

Love the M4, might be my next choice too. Although I'm keeping the F10 for a while yet... What colour you gone for?

It is going to be individual San Marino blue with Silverstone interior.

Back on topic my M235i is Mineral white and it does pop more than the Alpine.

Not seen San Marino blue, there was a tanzanite blue M4 in the showroom that was awesome. I would have had that colour for the F48 if they offered it... Has Marina blue also looks great on the M4 imo.

San Marino is one of the standard colours for the M6. I saw one at my dealer and just had to do it on an M4. I would have ordered the Yas Marina otherwise.
