Like it's up to him?

Such a simpleton. You make my head hurt.

Are you saying BMW USA doesn't control the product it gets? Certainly been the case with VW USA being to blame for dumb decisions like DSG only on the Mk5 R32.

Are you saying Fritz in Munich is plotting which country receives which options?

We get one F31 model, when there are dozens available to the ROW markets. Why limit it? MBUSA at least offers the E400 and E63 wagons as special orders, seems BMW USA could do the same.

For the US market, you can absolutely forget that happening anytime soon. In fact, expect a slimming of available models and if additional tariffs are imposed and some relaxation on the immense Non-Tariff Hurdles don't occur, more US Domestic production will be moved into Spartanburg with the export models moving out of the US.

Canada will have significantly more to choose from however as they have CETA.
This would be awesome. More manuals and more wagons for us!
Well it's a potential double edged sword.

Reading the Automotive sections of the full version is something every enthusiast in Canada should take time to do. There are some curve-balls mixed in that can have a significant impact, positives and negatives alike.

It's an BMW AG decision. BMWNA, dealers, and consumers occasionally have some input, but that is rare.

MB wagons are >95% cash purchases and enjoy an exemption from NHTSA.

If Oliver Zipse pops up in BMW news, this story is going to become very very major.

I kid. I know there's no chance. BMW NA is slowly killing off manuals from nearly every option. I'd imagine the chances of a G21 getting here are slim to none, much less one with rwd and a manual.

Oh, Soooo. that's the prick that will not up the allocations to the M2.

Last week i had to stop in at the stealer and pick up some MTFL2 jugs.
Parked the car and as i walk in the doors 2 sales people, gesture, say hello and nice E46M!!!. Me: thank you, where are all the M2's parked? Sales chick: we have no allocations(at least=honest) Me: Oh ok, no sale today. I walk in the back to the parts department. When leaving, I counted 9 2xx's and four 2 series convertibles.
Again, the N.A. douschbaggery must go.

I remember reading its German culture for these guys to pretty much be ushered out by a certain age no matter how well they are doing to get a younger body in there.

make that wagon - diesel powered but without all the crappy emissions stuff in our 335d and x35d... 6 speed , 3 pedals, rwd only... same 3.0 litre twin turbo diesel powered inline six will suffice
