Phone Holder

I'm curious if anyone knows about a phone holder that would clip onto the trim that is next to the gearshift on the passenger side (area circled in red in the attached picture).

I know I could put my phone in the armrest, or just lay it next to the gearshift. I also know that I could get a suction cup holder or a air vent holder, but just wondering about any ideas for a holder for that spot. (Actually the older version with the cupholder would have been a good option for what I am looking for).

Anyone seen anything that attaches to that spot?

I've been using a Luxa2 H5 mount for five years and can't recommend it highly enough. It's mounted next to the A-Pillar. Machined aluminium and steady as a rock without any wobble or vibration what so ever.

But if you want it mounted next to the gear lever, I would recommend looking for bike mounts instead. Clip or strap locking mechanism instead of suction cup, basically.

Something like this maybe? https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01BPBZ8..._KBmqxbTZ0W3J7

My dealer fits a place holder for the phone exactly on the place you mentioned, I will shoot some pics once I get the car, it should be anytime this week .

But this may work by clipping over the leather grab bar too:

Thanks for the photo. This looks like what I am interested in. However, from the picture, I can't tell how it works. Does the phone just sit on top of the flat part or how does it work?

This one is by local workshop in Israel called BMD (BMW Design), which cooperate with the local dealer to provide customized solutions for BMW cars.

This is neither here or there, but I use one of those CD-Phone holders. I used this one from amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Koomus-Pro-CD-...=ATVPDKIKX0DER) with great success in EU. I don't have the car yet in the states to take a phone, but it did great. I doesn't affect the memory keys and it is very low key. The Phone gets on/off easily and the bumps don't affect the phone (like it doesn't fall). You can still use the CD player (although i don't) but once you load the CDs you can easily use it.
