Since its based on the BMW/Mini FWD platform i guess it will have the same AWD system as the Mini which they call ALL4.
I wonder how the ALL4 stacks up against xDrive?

Well If BMW like to fill every void why aren't they bringing the 1 serie hatchback And 5 serie wagon to north america? Why are they not bringing more engine/transmission/drivetrain option?
