What's really sad is that this is the best you can do to contribute to this thread.

Put down the "hater"-ade " and Perhaps go check out the f8x reviews if you find the x1 boring.

The current X1 is already in volume sales , has been since introduction in 2009. We are well over 300,000 units since launch.

The new X1 answers questions customers would like with the X1.
The most important being more practicality. It remains the small SAV , the entry point SAV where the X1 has found its customer base.

The F48 is a continuation , a transition from one generation to the other and to keep its current title as the best selling compact SAV.

Of course it will break new ground in the Chinese market by offering the X1 Li.
And extended wheelbase version of the X1 to capitalise on continuous SUV growth for all segments in the Chinese market. The X1 is specifically for the Chinese markets demand for extra leg room and an extended SUV.

Impossible. Not only it's fwd, the eps will ruin one of the few last bmw's that had some steering feel and of course bmw just doesnt invest in dynamics has it did anymore. those shots in nurburg are just for show. I read an interview in a car mag with one of bmw chassis dynamics eng and he said that since bmw noticed that audi sold almost as many cars as they did without putting half the effort in making them dynamic, bmw just cut cost on it. And he went on to give the example of new 5 ser beeing a less sports car than the E60. I would go on to add to that list the Z4, X3, 7ser...

The brand is getting watered down to pander to the masses. More weight for AWD, poorer cornering dynamics, car-like clearance, shorter hood. More power to BMW if they can find buyers but the current X1 is a far better deal and more practical.

BMWs answer to the Land Rover Discovery Sport and the first of an extended X family in providing further passenger flexibility in a compact SAV.
Developed for the Chinese market at first. BMW will now integrate the car to be sold globally allowing a further product identity in the BMW X line.
The X3 is also in line for an additional model.

A brief look at the Land Rover Discovery Sport in an apparent error mimicking the BMW X5 F15 when it was leaked as a miniature model.
