So this is what is extremely confusing to me. The 2016 X1 will be on the same chassis, have FWD and AWD, use at least some of the same engines and be built at the same location as the 2-Series Active Tourer. Frankly, they look pretty similar too. What exactly will be the major differences between these two vehicles?
Say all you want about the 2-Series AT, it does have a big market potential in the US. It's a good looking car, fills the need for more utility than a 3- or 4- series, and should be cheaper too. The only question is why would I want an X1 over a 2-Series Active Tourer?
