Looks Awesome!
Great fitment on the width and offset of the wheels. On your muffler tips, curious to know what inlet diameter you used.

Thank you sir! 2.5" in, 3.5" out. Unbeknownst to me, the X1 has a different diameter on each side. Muffler shop who did the welding added a reducer sleeve to accommodate.

I'm assuming it's just like the X2, technically the furthest rear portions are the same diameter on each side, its just the length piping of that diameter is shorter on the non-flap side. Thanks for the 2.5" confirmation...I'm weighing out options for the X2

Congrats, the car looks great. And the graphite wheels go so well with the mineral white. The fitment also looks perfectly flush. What are the offsets on those?
Also, it that stock suspension or are you on lowering springs? |

ET 45 front & back Suspension Techniques Lowering Springs Koni Yellow Sport shocks & struts We tried to cram 20x10s on at first. Fronts needed spacers and we were sticking out almost an inch front and back. Too much. Dropped to 20x9s. They're still a very aggressive fit, maybe 3/16" out. But it's an SUV, and it works. I wouldn't change a thing about the fitment, love it. |

eBay tips. They were actually bolt-ons, but my wife really liked them. Had the muffler shop chop and weld them on. Was actually surprised at how high quality they are to be honest. Heavy, but nice little tips. |

The vehicle looks great with those wheels and tires. Was it hard to find wheels with that bold pattern? I went with 19" Niche Wheels wrapped in 245/40 all around. I prefer the bigger tires as our roads up here in Montreal suck, especially in the spring with huge potholes, crevices, cracks, sunken drain hole covers and occasional debris.

Awesome setup and makes your X1 unique to stand out. Hope to see it on the road here in SoCal!!! I've been debating 19" or 20" on mine for a long time and after see your setup on 20" it makes me think twice about going originally with 19". However, you also upgraded the suspension at the same time to accommodate the 20" look. Something I have to keep in mind, if I just do wheels/tires only compared to wheels/tires/suspension to get the correct look.
Good job on setup and surely your X1 will stand out here in SoCal

Upgrading the shocks and struts won't change anything appearance-wise. But the OEM setup is designed for the OEM springs. Generally this means there will be extra shock travel with the shorter springs, which will blow the shocks out in short order. With the X1, the lowering spring options are in the 1 inch range. Not a huge drop, so it may not be as crucial. I've just always been fond of the sportier KONI suspension on BMWs, and since we were already installing new springs, it was just something I was going to do. But that's why I wanted to post some good pics, the more we have here the better! Glad to hear it's helpful while you're deciding! |

I guess depends on how you look at it but its cambered out (at the bottom of the tire). This is because I am running a very aggressive fitment. More pics of my setup: https://f48.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...ght=Proper%27s |
