Updated June 6, 2017:

The X2 prototype has finally revealed more of its front end, showing a more aggressive look than expected. Revealed are large air intakes featuring strong angled lines to mimic the lines of the Concept X2's front bumper (compare images below). We like that BMW is taking a bold approach to its design! See the new images below.

BMW X2 Revealing More Aggressive Styling Than Expected

Love the inverted kidney grills. I know that is supposed to be part of the new design language for the X series. Hope those make it to the new G01 X3.

Wrong kidneys design (upside down - A shaped)

Bring back the BMW kidneys (V shaped)

Bad! Too sad and aggressive front!

Looks lame compared to the concept, come on BMW you can do better than that, like, build the concept.

I hope they don't have the fog lamps in the bumper like the concept, although it's clear that there is a fog lamp on the test mule... fingers crossed they don't make it into production.

Fog lights are standard issue on X mobile's.

True. I was hopeful that the x2 concept signaled a departure from the obligatory bug eyes in the front bumper.

Oh! I thought the turning lights would have been built in to the main headlight unit, as part of the LED array, similar to the F48 X1?

Yes, looks like BMW recently have figured out that their concept indeed looked great. Ever since i8 concept, BMW have been more bold with their design (Execpt G3*) Using the great concepts as a mold to their finished production models.
The X2 should be a sporty little fun SAV, with a touch of personality and flair, not like the more dull twin F48.

Not sure about the X1 but on my X3 they come on left to right with steering input as long as you have adaptive headlights.

That's great! It would also be great to hear that it was revealing more aggressive performance than expected...or a more aggressive residual value than expected...or more aggressive incentives than expected....or, well...you get my point

That's what I was wondering too - my gf's Q3 has this feature in her LED headlights - it's very nice and the front face is cleaner IMO.
