Hi.
I am slowly completing the parts. Has anyone noticed any disadvantages of using the car after the modifications? Any problems, mistakes, folding? Have a nice Sunday! |

Hi All,
I am new to the forum and just came across this post and was wondering if anyone had anymore info.... I have a 2018 18d M-Sport and looking to put the M-Sport LCI bumper on the front. I just had a quick question, as I see some members have mentioned that some flaps / airducts need to be removed for the LCI bumper? Can anyone tell me a little more about which bits need to be removed and does it effect operation in anyway? Thanks in advance |

I just finished doing the conversion and the "flaps / duct" I think people are referring to is the radiator air duct.....this is the big plastic air duct that goes around the radiator. I think the issue being is the old version doesn't line up with the newer LCI bumper. so some people remove the flaps that sit on the front of the ducting. I wasn't comfortable doing this and wanted to keep it as OEM as possible, so I just ended up buying the LCI version of the duct, which was around £120 on ebay.
The LCI duct is plug n play and the conversion was pretty straight forward. The hardest part was getting the LCI bumper to sit over the existing bumper foam. I had to trim some of the foam out and it was still a pretty tight fit, other than this its pretty straight forward. Last edited by Maverik001; 07-17-2023 at 09:31 AM.. |

Thanks guys for your insights. I’m 90% done with my conversion, the only headache is finding a plug and play adapter for the fog lights. I bought this part (61 12 8 718 648). One end fitted the light but the other end didn’t fit the older connection.
Could I clarify these please: 1) did you cut and splice the wiring? 2) what are the connector names please? Thanks |
