We went one sidewall size larger when upgrading to 19" rims and we are regularly asked about the X1. Beforehand, no one gave a crap. Where we should've put 30/35 sidewall tires, we went with 35/40, and what a difference!

275/35/19 rear and 245/40/19 front was the ticket. No rubbing and looks sensational on Avant Garde M355 19x9/19x10's. It also handles great and feels crazy planted.
Looks good. I would like to turn mine into a snurf too! How was drive ability? Harder? Softer? Smoother? Clunkier? Added weight? Thanks
It's all around better. The stock wheels were so tucked under the car that it not only looks completely soccer-mom, the track is really narrow. The wider and staggered track is a game changer. It's a lot of fun to drive and with the JB chip on that 2.0 turbo and 8 speed, it's borderline impressive.
