Cover Orange Reflector?
Anyone with a US model have plans to cover that orange reflector or have done it yet and have pics?
Some vinyl on the outside might look ok.

That's a good idea. I might leave it alone since the reflector is not in a bumper cut out like the other BMWs.

I tried and it's a no go. Orange reflector is too deep to cover it so it can't be seen from all angles. It can be done, but vinyl cutout was a bigger eyesore than the reflector.

Other option would be to remove the directional bulb giving you access to the inside and get someone who builds those ships in a bottle and see if they can work something in there to cover it I'm going to test drive an X1 this weekend as a possible replacement and I'm already obsessing what to do about that reflector if I end up with one. They really bug me.

Bummer to hear about the vinyl.
From how I see it there are 3 options... 1. Get euro headlights 2. Bake em and open it and remove the reflector 3. Drill and break them inside and remove the remnants piece by piece. Then reseal the headlights. Option 3 was very popular back in the days on Audi B6s. I did a few sets myself and it was pretty easy. They never fogged up or anything either. Here's what I mean: http://www.a4mods.com/index.php?page...tml&category=3 Obviously this method depends on the headlight and reflector placement...won't know til I get a better look, but it's a cheap DIY workaround for those willing to experiment...
