I've used Opticote, Perl, OG Tire Dressing, plain 303. All work fine, but lately I've just focused on keeping the tires clean and uncoated. I've not found a spray yet that gives me a sufficiently matte finish.

I'm still using Meguiar's Endurance gel. Been using it since I think 2001. Love how you can apply and then wipe it down to a dark matte finish without gloss. Also lasts a long time and has a nice grape smell.

It’s the best matte non glossy look.

Adam's VRT is pretty matte. I mean, any more matte and it looks terrible IMO. You can just rub it with a microfiber towel right after application to knock it down if needed.

I use vinyl/rubber protectant (like meguairs or 303) and it leaves a matte, but dark and healthy or "new tire" look I would say. Any left over residue gets absorbed too unlike tire shine products I've tried in the pasT.

Meg's #57 is my preferred for tires. 303 for exterior trims/plastics, but works well on tires too.

It's not as rich either by then but you know, you can still see some darkening effect so to say.

Maybe I should try Dark side to but I do enjoy how cheap and simple it is to apply my current Perl. I use Perl in other areas as well like engine bay dressing, interior dressing, external plastics.
I also use on my rubber floor mats 😁

Perl, 1:1. Because it goes on nicely, leaves a good finish, is water based and last but not least, it comes off quickly with a right detergent.

I use a lot of Sonax products inside and out, and use their Tire Gloss Gel.
I like how I can dial-in the amount of gloss (with no sling), how long it lasts, and how it doesn’t ‘brown’ my tires.

This why I like Perl which gives my tires a classy satin finish and in my opinion isn’t super shiny.

It’s good, but just like all the water based dressings it’s done after one storm.

I used Perl for a long time. Switched to Adam's VRT after Scott HD's testing.

I encourage you to use a water based tire dressing so you don’t crack your sidewalls. Learned the hard way.

The idea that all solvent carrier dressings will do this is a myth. UV will do this, and tire dressings vastly overstate their UV protection.
