because soccer moms drive suv not wagon... its only 6" taller than the e90 and 3" shorter.. this is the same thing mercedes has done by introducing the GLA.. the germans are tricking the US market into liking wagons again.. this is the first step.. by making a jacked up wagon, people tell themselves its an SUV. Ha, my wife is very wagon averse and doesn't like me pointing out that her E84 is classified as a wagon for BMW sales and insurance purposes. I sort of wish this one had kept the lower roof profile that the E84 and GLA have, not the more SUV oriented look of the Q3.
