I saw a figure that in 2015 U.S. sports car sales totaled about 420,000 whereas SUV/CUV sales were almost seven million. I don't mind bmw chasing money, but other than the rondel these new cars are no better than Korean and Japanese alternatives. Also bmw warranty and service packages are now worse than the competition. And the price! Unless you're getting an M car you are not getting a good value. Bmw has joined the race to the bottom with Mercedes and Audi/VW leading the way. Remember the 1970s and U.S. cars? The pinto? K cars? That is how we competed with the Carrolla and Civic. If bmw quality starts to slip like Mercedes has it will be an ugly crash at the bottom. We will see.
