Does anyone have 295 width tires on their xdrive? Noob seeking guidance.

Hi everyone,

Complete noob to the car world and have been doing a little reading on mods.

I recently acquired a 120k mile 2017 F48 m sport that came with 18'' oem m wheels and 225/50/18 (recently switched to extreme contacts from the P7's but I have a free exchange until Feb 8 incase I want to go with R19 or wider tires).

It's all stock but the front struts had to be replaced, and they were replaced with cheap $100 struts by my brother before I acquired it. It's such a bad ride, but I will be thinking of upgrading all 4 to Bilsteins in the future.

My main goal right now is to fill the gap between the tire and the fender and to have an aggressive looking rear tire because the 2017 F48 is lacking from the back point of view. To achieve this I am thinking of getting lowering springs as well as 19'' wheels and wider tires.

I am planning on getting H&R lowering springs.

I really like the look of how wide my brother's 295/40/20 are on his rears of his 2018 Macan turbo. I understand they're two different cars and the reason I want 295 on the rears is because it looks so good from the back on the Macan. I'm thinking that if I get 295 as well that it'll look similar - correct me if I am wrong.

However, I read that because the f48 xdrive is 4WD it is a bad idea to stagger because it stresses a major component of the car. I'm also wondering if 295 all around is a bad idea and if 295 will even fit without causing issues? If staggering is ok then I could also stagger but I am having a difficult time trying to research what front tire size would be compatible.

Another issue I find is that the stock wheels seem to be sunken into the fender. I would prefer if the wheel lined up with the fender. Do I need spacers for this? Does getting a new 19'' wheel effect how much the wheel lines up with the fender compared to the stock 18''? Is this called the offset?

I would appreciate any guidance and clarification on this matter!
