DDC is more advanced system over EDC and X1 has EDC.

EDC is not just hard and soft mode, that is EDC on VW AG cars, in Audi Q3 or VW Tiguan or Golf the EDC works as you say, on BMW the the EDC can adjust the stifness dynamically and in far more levels than two.
I don't think BMW is going to offer you a job anytime soon.
